I grew up in a long line of creatives. Our family tree was smattered with artists—professional and casual. All of the bases were covered, from painters, musicians, dancers, photographers, designers, you name it! Since I was a little girl, I repeatedly heard, ”ohh, you’re so creative”. Because I grew up with that declaration, I never questioned it. I was encouraged to explore, discover, create, and that I did! I think I’ve happily dabbled in all of it! The seed was planted, watered and fed my whole life, I was truly blessed to have such caretakers of my soul. Talk about a GIFT!
When the subject of Creativity comes up now, I noticed it always seems to be attached to the statement, “Oh, I’m not creative”, or “I cant even draw a circle!” And to that I always respond with a quick “Yes You Can!” Clearly, not everyone’s creative seeds have been watered. Artistic expression shouldn’t be difficult! Creativity is Pure & Simple!
